An 1893-S $1 MS63 PCGS, a tremendous Mint State example of one the rarest Morgan Dollar issues, drew top honors with $282,000 final price realized to lead Heritage Auctions’ $8.3+ million Summer FUN U.S. Coins Signature® Auction, July 9-12, 2015, in Orlando, FL.

An 1803 50C Large 3, Large Reverse Stars MS63 PCGS CAC, one of only six Mint State Large 3 examples known at PCGS, proved highly sought-after when bidding drive the final price realized for the coin to $99,875 while an extremely rare 1776 New Hampshire Copper Good 6 PCGS CAC, Ex: Green/Newman, a treasure of Colonial Coppers, drew a $94,000+ final price realized.
Gold collectors found much to applaud in the auction, with a trio of gold rarities rounding out the auctions’ top offerings: A 1915-S Panama-Pacific round $50 MS61 NGC, a tremendously popular commemorative token of wisdom and industry, realized $64,625; an 1863 Gold $3 semiprooflike MS67 NGC, a showcase-worthy rarity, brought $61,700, while an 1852 Humbert $50 AU55 NGC, a hefty Gold Rush memento, struck under Moffat & Company, realized $49,350.
