Sign-ups will begin for the annual club Christmas / Holiday party at the October 18 meeting. The party will be held at 5 p.m., Marlow’s Tavern (1317 Dunwoody Village Parkway, Suite 102, Dunwoody), Sunday, December 14.
This is the same restaurant the party was at as last year. Like last year, you can order anything off the menu, family groups should sit together , and separate checks will be provided. There will also be an automatic 18% gratuity added to all checks.
John Lyons is working with the restaurant’s general manager who has promised tighter plastic sheeting installation to avoid cold drafts we had last year. We will also configure the room a little different, so everyone is sitting in the center. Additionally, there will be a portable sound system, so you can hear the emcee better. Finally, no other restaurant patrons will be allowed in the adjoining bar area while waiting for their tables until our party is over.
As always, we will have a voluntary gift exchange, plenty of door prizes, and great food! Our goal is to have a door prize for everyone (55 or more), so we encourage everyone to consider contributing a prize. Just bring it to any of the club officers or board members during our October and November meetings. Prizes typically are numismatic, and in the past, have included books, proof sets, and silver dollars.
